>Another strange little venue this EMB… again the people working there (at least the majority of them) looked like they would rather have been anywhere but here… just don’t get it… surely there are lot worse jobs going?! Nonetheless we didn’t let there vibes interfere with us having as much fun as possible on stage! Carim nearly beheaded me with his snake at the end of the set but I will get my revenge… watch this space :oP

>After a good three hour drive we got to Bourges to play the Printemps de Bourges Festival. The weather was great and we had quite a bit of time to kill before soundcheck – so I took myself off for a little walk around the festival grounds. There were so many cool stands and bands to check out it was hard to know where to start. After walking around for a while and eating some lovely food I got to check out some cool bands soundchecking – incl. Plaid who I really like. After soundchecking we still had quite a bit of time to kill so I got to check out Arctic Monkeys and deUS which was a nice little bonus. Our show was really great too. We had a blast on stage and the crowd was brilliant. Got to meet up and and hang out with a few familiar faces after the show too which was nice!

>Carim, Gal & I left Tourcoing early this morning and got a train into Paris for a long day of interviews and radio. I was just along for the radio sessions and didn’t have to endure the same set of questions over & over which was nice for me :oP
Our first stop before all of this though was the sushi bar around the corner from the hotel… got to get our energy from somewhere right?! After that we went down to Campus Paris Radio to do the first session followed by an interview. We played “Tricycle” and “Needle & Thread” off of the new album.
From there we went on to PIAS where Gal and Carim did one interview after the other whilst I sat in the corner thinking of ways how I could disrupt the whole vibe… sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t… but it’s the thought that counts, right?!
In the evening we went to Aligre FM to do our last stripped down session which was a definite success… for those with ears to hear….
When we got back to the hotel everyone else was pretty pie-eyed. So we decided to find the nearest restaurant to cause some havoc… as usual this was no big task for Mr & Mrs Psapp and their little Psappling children!

>Strange gig this one at Le Grand Mix in Tourcoing. All the people who worked at the venue looked like they’d rather be at home but the most memorable thing for all of us I think was the catering… a potato spring roll followed by Lasagne with a side serving of chicken korma..weird. When we got on stage we realized we were playing to an audience who also looked like they would all rather be at home – this only made us enjoy ourselves even more though… like I said before – strange show this one….

>We played a great show today at the Nouveau Casino in Paris. It’s a beautiful venue and the crowd were all lovely. Fink opened up for us and they also played a really good show. Definitely a nice start to this little stint of shows in France :o)

>Jonathan and I went to the Agape Easter Sunday service in Culver City this morning. As always it was very inspiring. After that we stopped off at Andys to say hi and also to see his newborn baby Willa who is just the cutest thing ever! After having lunch together Jonathan dropped me off at the DiMattias and I had a great time hanging out with them and catching up… it had been quite a while since we hung out last… after having a lovely easter dinner with them, they dropped me back off in Hollywood where I got to hang out with my Kayden Creations friends – all a bit rushed but very worthwhile nonetheless!
Off to Agape with Jonathan.
Easter evening at Andys – Kayden Creations.
Midnight snacks at Jerry’s Deli in Studio City…
too much good food today!

>After spending some time at Tonys I made my way over to Sherman Oaks to meet up with some more friends I hadn’t seen in a long time: Ido, Yossi and his girlfriend Einat and also Yossi & Idos dad… Yossi got me up to date on his current feature length movie he is working on called “Dead & Gone“. After that we went out to The Firefly in Studio City and had a lovely meal together. In the evening my good friends Mike and Sue DiMattia joined us back at Yossis house and we just had a great night hanging out and catching up!
